Eligibility
To be eligible for the Hansen Scholarship 2025, applicants must: Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an Australian temporary or permanent protection visa. Be enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Be aged between 16 and 20 years at the time of application. Be on track to achieve a minimum ATAR of 90 (or IB equivalent). Experience financial hardship (family receiving Centrelink benefits). Selection Criteria Candidates will be evaluated based on: Academic excellence and commitment to success. Resilience in overcoming adversity. Demonstrated ability to contribute to society. Leadership and teamwork skills. Potential to thrive as a Hansen Scholar.

Benefits
Hansen Scholars receive comprehensive support, including: Fully funded accommodation for 52 weeks per year at Little Hall, the University’s residential facility. Annual living allowance of $4,000 for the standard full-time duration of the undergraduate degree. Full fee remission for asylum seekers who would otherwise have to pay international tuition fees. One-time grant of up to $4,000 for an approved international exchange, internship, or professional development activity. Access to mentoring, career guidance, and leadership programs. Priority access to graduate accommodation at Little Hall if pursuing postgraduate studies. Competitive next-step funding of up to $25,000 for career-related activities upon completing the undergraduate degree.

Application Procedure
The Hansen Scholarship application consists of three stages: Online Application & Academic Reference (Opens: February 3, 2025 | Closes: March 31, 2025) Submit the application form via the SmartyGrants portal . Nominate an academic referee (reference due by April 11, 2025). On-demand Video Interview (April 2025) Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online video interview. Live Interview with Selection Panel (July-August 2025) Finalists will undergo a face-to-face interview.
