Eligibility

To be eligible for the Sydney International Student Award, applicants must:

Be an international student under the Higher Education Support Act 2003
Hold citizenship of an eligible country or region
Receive an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
Not already be enrolled at the University of Sydney (except for second-degree applicants)
Not be enrolled in MBA, EMBA, distance learning, executive education, or Law Dual Degree programs
Meet the academic entry requirements of the University of Sydney

Application Procedure

Apply for an eligible degree at the University of Sydney as an international student
During the application, submit a personal statement using the official template

The personal statement includes three sections (maximum 200 words each):

Why you chose the University of Sydney
Your academic and career goals
Eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the award
Successful applicants receive a revised offer letter with the scholarship applied
No separate scholarship application is required.

Academic merit
Quality of the personal statement
Eligibility based on nationality and course
Meeting all admission and award conditions
Applicants who do not meet the criteria may still receive an admission offer without the award.
