Eligibility
All international students who submit an International Student Application for any other undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program are automatically assessed for the scholarship. This streamlined process eliminates the need for separate applications, making it easier for students to focus on their academic aspirations. Selection Criteria The selection for the Tasmanian International Scholarship is based on academic merit. The University’s Admissions Team evaluates applicants' academic achievements from their secondary, diploma, or degree-level qualifications. The assessment considers the applicant's highest level qualification before starting their intended study program, provided that it has a minimum duration of one year. Given that academic systems and grading scales vary globally, the University takes into account these differences during the evaluation process, ensuring fairness across diverse educational backgrounds.

The TIS scholarship applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs, with a few exceptions. Notably, the following courses are excluded: Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine Bachelor of Dementia Care

25% reduction in tuition fees for the full duration of the chosen course. Automatic assessment during the submission of the International Student Application. Available for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs (with some exceptions). Applicants who are successful in receiving the scholarship will find the details outlined in their Offer Letter, along with the terms and conditions. It is essential to review these terms thoroughly to ensure a complete understanding of the scholarship's requirements and expectations. Continuity and Maintenance Once awarded, the scholarship applies for the entire duration of the course, and there is no need for students to reapply for ongoing eligibility. However, this scholarship is only available to commencing students. Current students at the University of Tasmania cannot be reassessed for this scholarship based on their ongoing academic progress.
