Eligibility

The program is open to:

Graduate students (Master’s and PhD candidates)
Postdoctoral fellows
Medical residents in radiation oncology or related specialties
Clinical fellows in cancer care, imaging, or radiation sciences
Applicants from across Canada and international institutions are welcome.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) before the applicable deadline.
Step 2: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application .
Step 3: Awards will be announced in September 2025 for a program start in Fall 2025 .

Applications for the STARS21 Program follow a two-stage selection process .

General Stream

Letter of Intent (LOI) Deadline : June 27, 2025 (by 5:00 PM ET)
Full Application Invitations : Week of July 14–18, 2025
Full Application Deadline : August 11, 2025 (by 5:00 PM ET)
Award Announcements : September 2025
Program Duration : Late September/Early October 2025 – May 2026
