Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English; fluency in Dutch or willingness to learn is a plus. Additional Skills: Knowledge of climate change, ecology, or phenology is advantageous but not mandatory.

About the PhD Position The University of Twente is seeking a motivated PhD candidate with a Master’s degree (MSc) in geospatial sciences, computer science, environmental sciences , or a related field. The successful candidate will develop and apply geo-artificial intelligence methods, including spatiotemporal machine learning techniques, to study vegetation dynamics at regional and local scales. This interdisciplinary project integrates climate simulations, remote sensing data, and ground observations to model the effects of extreme weather events and land-use changes on vegetation.
