Community and Social Justice Leadership Scholarship Award: $1,000 to two recipients Eligibility: Open to all students enrolled in Fall 2024 with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Essay Requirement: Applicants must submit a 350-500 word essay demonstrating their leadership in community engagement and social justice as a UWS student, highlighting the impact of their involvement on themselves and others. 2. Dr. Jan Neal Scholarship for Technology Award: $500 to 20 recipients Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program for Fall 2024 with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Essay Requirement: A 350-500 word essay explaining how receiving this scholarship for learning resources and technology would enhance the applicant's educational experience. 3. Dr. Richard Tilden Diversity in Healthcare Scholarship Award: $1,000 to nine recipients Eligibility: Open to incoming or returning chiropractic students with a commitment to enhancing racial and ethnic diversity within the chiropractic profession and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Essay Requirement: A 350-500 word essay describing the applicant’s role in serving and treating a diverse community as a chiropractic physician, with an emphasis on their lived experiences and commitment to health equity. 4. Dr. Steve Oliver Chiropractic Memorial Scholarship Award: $5,000 to one recipient Eligibility: Open to students who have been enrolled in the Chiropractic program for at least one year, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Essay Requirement: A 350-500 word essay detailing the applicant’s reasons for choosing chiropractic, their goals as a physician, and their commitment to serving a diverse community. 5. Standard Process Scholarship Award: $5,000 to two recipients Eligibility: Open to students who have been enrolled in the Chiropractic program for at least one year, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Essay Requirement: A 350-500 word essay discussing the importance of nutrition in patient care and how the applicant plans to integrate nutritional education and supplementation into their practice. 6. Dr. Michael Horowitz & Dr. Jeannie Gutierrez Immigrant/First Generation Scholarship Award: $5,000 to one recipient Eligibility: Open to first-generation graduate students or immigrants to the U.S., with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Candidates must have applied for admission to UWS or be continuing students in good standing. Essay Requirement: A 350-500 word essay outlining the applicant’s academic goals, community service contributions, and achievements, emphasizing their immigrant or first-generation status. 7. Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan Scholarship Award: $1,000 USD to one recipient Eligibility: Open to students from Saskatchewan enrolled in the Doctor of Chiropractic program in Q5 or above, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, who plan to return to Saskatchewan to practice.
