Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following conditions: Nationality: Citizen of a World Bank member country eligible for financing. Dual citizens with developed countries are ineligible. Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) earned at least three years before the application deadline, with strong academic performance. Work Experience: Minimum of three years of recent, full-time, development-related professional work experience post-Bachelor’s degree. Exceptions apply for applicants from fragile or conflict-affected states. Health: Must be in good health. Exclusions: Applicants cannot be Executive Directors, staff, or close relatives of World Bank or IMF personnel.

The IMP is tailored for government officials and professionals involved in infrastructure policy planning and development. The interdisciplinary curriculum integrates engineering, economics, management, law, and environmental studies , focusing more on management skills than technical engineering. Year 1: Coursework in engineering, environment, economics, management, law, Japanese language, mathematics, and computer techniques. Year 2: Practicum training aligned with the student’s specialization and thesis submission, a requirement for program completion.
